Dipper Trip Systems Upgrade
A new single DC motor dipper trip system, originally developed for the 4100XPB, is now available for shovel models 4100, 4100A 4100BOSS,4100TS, 2800XPA, 2800XPB, 2300XPA and 2300XPB. This upgrade combines a new, single, low inertia motor, with a planetary transmission and electric brake, providing significant improvement in line pull and motor life. Upgrades are also available to increase the performance of existing dual motor dipper trip systems.

Disc Brake Upgrades
Disc brake upgrades convert clamp (drum) style brakes to faster, more efficient disc brakes. In addition to faster set/release response times, disc brakes require less maintenance and reduce brake drag on the drive train. Upgrades are available for all shovel functions and are applicable to most models.

House Air Filtration Upgrade
P&H AirScrubPro is a powerful new cartridge-based air filtration system that virtually eliminates dust down to sub-micron size before it can enter the shovel machinery house. This new system is available as a retrofit for the standard air filtration system on late-model P&H 2800XPB, 4100A, 4100XPB, 4100TS and 4100BOSS shovels.

Mine Air Systems Climate Control Units
Mine Air Systems (MAS) offers the industry's most advanced climate/filtration/pressurization control, with heating and cooling sensitivity of 0.5 degrees F. Available from MAS is a complete line of DC-powered and AC-powered models. These models will enable you to outfit your operator's cabs and electrical rooms on your entire fleet of shovels, draglines, drills, haul trucks, dozers, loaders, graders and utility vehicles. The units are also applicable to non-mining applications, such as overhead cranes, control stations, or virtually any application that requires climate controlled quality air. Mine Air Systems unique modular construction allows most of the models to be fully exchanged with stanby units in under 30 minutes.

Operator's Cab Upgrades
A wide array of operator cab upgrades is available for P&H and non-P&H shovels. Upgrades range from window shades to complete operator's cab assemblies. Ergonomically designed operator's seat/console assemblies, originally designed for the 4100XPB, feature P&H ToughRider seats and new joystick controllers to provide maximum comfort for shovel operators.

Quick Change Lagging Sleeves
Worn hoist drum grooves can severely impact wire rope life and reduce machine availability. P&H offers quick change lagging, with all drum rope grooves pre-machined into the lagging, and without requiring removal of the hoist drum, which reduces downtime and expense. Once installed, the hardened P&H quick change lagging will provide years of service, and can then be easily replaced.

Shipper Shaft and Handle Upgrades
Shipper shaft and handle upgrades for shovel models 2300XPA and 2800XPA extend the service life of the dipper handle while reducing machine downtime. This upgrade implements a new, straight leg dipper handle and new shipper shaft featuring single piece saddle blocks and a new arrangement between the shipper shaft and crowd pinion. Additionally, for greater rack life, the 2300XPA upgrade utilizes 2800 racking and the 2800XPA upgrade utilizes 4100 racking.

SnubRite
The SnubRite dipper door control effectively regulates door travel and eliminates unrestrained swinging. This patented device is self-contained and uses a cushion of oil to dampen door travel. Two door controls are used on each dipper. With SnubRite door controls, “banging” and “slamming” of the dipper door is a thing of the past along with the associated impact damage to the dipper. In addition, SnubRites require no maintenance or adjustments between rebuilds. When it is time for rebuild, P&H's ENCORE component exchange keeps you up and running. Rebuilds are recommended after 10,000 to 16,000 hours of operation.

Swing Shaft Upgrade
The new swing shaft design for shovel models 4100 & 4100A provides improved service life, while reducing downtime required for replacement. The shaft incorporates a double-tapered roller bearing and an improved retention system, increasing bearing life and reducing the frequency of required adjustments. When installed with the latest design ring gear, new shaft and pinion geometry allow for increased swing torque, reducing cycle time.

TorqueRite Clamp
Developed to solve a variety of industrial bolt tensioning problems, including over- or under-tightening, work or vibration loosening, thread galling and bolt related leakage. This revolutionary three-piece nut with an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve is applicable to a wide range of equipment including, electric and hydraulic shovels, draglines, rotary drills, haul trucks, dozers, conveyors, mills and crushers. The “TorqueRite” clamp provides perfect bolting every time, regardless of bolt grade, length, diameter or lubrication method.
