The visual feedback from Payload and Payload Plus - provided via the Centurion GUI screen - allows operators to adjust their truck loading techniques and consistently hit their target payload weights.

Payload and Payload Plus use static and dynamic models to calculate accurate material weight, while utilizing the monitoring, speed, and communications prowess of the Centurion Digital Drive and Control System.

In specific field verification testing at multiple sites using in-ground truck scales as the base, accuracies of better than 2% on a "per truck" basis were achieved for both systems.

Payload
The Payload System utilizes feedback - motor speeds, currents, voltages, and other electrical and operating data - to calculate dipper payload weight. The system provides automatic positional calibration with each rope change and boom limit set-up, and it also provides a quick and simple procedure for long-term calibration.

Payload Plus
Payload Plus measures payloads directly with a P&H patent-pending, instrumented pin and load cell mounted in the boom point sheave. The load cell measures hoist, dig, and suspended load forces directly, correlating the data to dipper payload weight. The system provides fully automatic calibration with no need for re-calibration once installed.
