Prodinsa is a Chilean company, serving the mining copper industry of Chile and South America since 1967. Prodinsa Is owned by Inchalam since 1993, a member of the Bekaert group, from Belgium, whose main field of expertise is in material transformation and coating technologies.
The company has provided P&H with shovel ropes for the markets of Chile, Brazil, and Venezuela, and draglines in the case of Brazil.
Chile is the main copper producer of the world, and P&H has a large fleet of shovels of the different models, serving this market. Prodinsa has supplied, since year 2000, with the shovel rope assemblies for all these models with great success for P&H Mine Pro and Prodinsa.
A new strand machine was manufactured in Chile following Prodinsa designs, expanding the manufacturing capacity of shovel rope assemblies, to be able to serve this growing market in a just in time and short lead time supply model.
The shovel rope assembly development followed by Prodinsa in recent years allow the company to supply the mining companies in alliance with P&H Mine Pro with different wire rope designs of superior yield and reliability, which together with the very strong support of their field technical sales force give a strong back-up service to the mining industry.
